4 picks and predictions for Wednesday 3rd February

Check out the Betway Insider’s NBA picks and predictions page for tips throughout the 2020-21 NBA season.

Milwaukee Bucks (-8.5) vs Indiana Pacers

The Bucks haven’t been the dominant force in the East that they were over the past couple of seasons, but they are still third in the conference with a 12-8 record.

Milwaukee currently have the highest net rating in the league, which suggests that they’re better than their record, and they should easily beat the Pacers at home on Wednesday night.

Indiana made a strong start to the season but have now lost five of their last 10 games, and they’re 3-6 against the spread since they traded away Victor Oladipo as part of the blockbuster James Harden deal in January.

Atlanta Hawks (+2) vs Dallas Mavericks

The Hawks have won five of their last eight games to move to 10-10 for the season, with all five of those wins coming by a margin of at least eight points.

They should move above .500 by beating the Mavericks, who are struggling badly with six consecutive defeats.

Dallas have won just two of their last nine games dating back to the middle of January and have lost by 12 points or more on five occasions during that period.

Houston Rockets (-6.5) vs Oklahoma City Thunder

The Rockets have shown remarkable improvement since trading away star player James Harden in the middle of January, winning six consecutive games to climb into the playoff spots in the West.

Four of Houston’s last five wins have come by margins of at least 14 points, including a 136-106 rout of the Thunder in the first leg of this back-to-back on Monday night.

Oklahoma City have lost seven of their last 10 games, are just 1-7 at home this season and have the league’s second-worst net rating, so this should be another comfortable win for the resurgent Rockets.

Phoenix Suns (-3) vs New Orleans Pelicans

The Suns continue to climb the standings in the West, with three consecutive wins taking them up to fifth with an 11-8 record.

They shouldn’t have any trouble beating the Pelicans, who have been shockingly bad this season despite high expectations. They are currently 7-12 for the season and rank 22nd in the NBA in net rating.

New Orleans actually made a solid start but have now lost 10 of their last 13 games, and their last eight defeats all came by a margin of five points or more.
