Under 328.5 runs in the match
Both teams will be under-strength for this one, with several key players on either side not set to play until later in the tournament.
Many of those that do play will not have been involved in much competitive cricket recently, and that will likely make for a low-scoring match on Thursday.
D’Arcy Short to score under 26.5 runs
Short was called up to the Australia T20 squad in place of the injured David Warner but failed to impress in three matches against India, scoring 34, 9 and 7.
Should that form continue he will struggle to pass this mark in the BBL opener.
Peter Handscomb to score over 16.5 runs
Australia international Handscomb is one of several new arrivals for the Hurricanes this season, joining from the Melbourne Stars.
The 29-year-old averaged more than 30 in this competition last season, so this looks a low mark for a player of his quality.
Sixers to hit over 3.5 sixes
The Sixers have some big hitters in their lineup, including captain Moises Henriques and West Indies star Carlos Brathwaite.
Their batsman should manage at least four sixes between them at the Bellerive Oval.
